Emmy: Eleven Months Old

We're a month away from Emmy being a year old!

This was a big month for our girl! We found her sitting up in her crib post nap for the first time, she stood by herself for quite a while (had to get her in position, but she stayed up on her own) & she ATE REAL FOOD! We've had so much trouble getting her to eat, but she's finally enjoying carrots, strawberries, bananas, and cheese among other things.

She is also crawling! When we returned from our beach trip in June, Emmy immediately started scooting and dragging herself around. After that, nothing could hold our little cutie back. She is ALL OVER the place and getting into EVERYTHING. Crazy how quickly things change.

This month Emmy participated in her first 5k (TFC's Run Your Street 5k), celebrated her first Father's Day with Brent and had her first 4th of July. Check out a few photos from the month:

Emmy: Ten Months Old

Look at this precious girl! I am overwhelmed by her beauty, joy and sweetness every single day. What a blessing she is to our family!

At ten months old, our sweet Emmy Josephine is starting to enjoy more foods, but is still very against any non-pureed foods. She's starting accepting puffs, but absolutely HATES the "lil bits" baby food. Check out this hilarious video of her fighting the food:

Too funny! Luckily, now that we are almost to 11 months, she is now doing great with table foods. But more about that later.

This month Emmy helped us celebrate Fisher's third birthday and she enjoyed her second beach vacation! She loves having out in daddy's office and is rolling around and scooting like crazy. Check out some adorable photos from her tenth month:

Oh, goodness! I love that sweet girl! (And those boys, too.)

Emmy: Nine Months Old

We are just a couple days from Emmy turning 10 months old (insane!), but I'm just now getting a chance to post on her 9 month info. Time is flying way too fast!

Emmy is still one of the happiest babies around. She sleeps like a champ (even sleeps later than her brother most mornings), she's eating all varieties of baby food (no solids yet) and is healthy as can be. She's still petite, but I was worried there for a moment thinking she was too small. Luckily, at her 9 month check up (with a new doctor that I love) she had gained a good amount since our previous sick visit. I was happy to hear our little one was growing and looking healthy! At 9 months, she was weighing in at just over 15 pounds.

This month Emmy traveled with us to Memphis for cousin Kyler's first birthday and then to Hilton Head with the Kees for a week long beach vacation. She loved the beach was happy as a clam in her little baby pool. (She was quite adorable in there as well.) Emmy also helped me celebrate Mother's Day for the first time as a mommy of two. Life sure is sweeter with her in our lives.

This month had quite a few "firsts" for our sweet girl: First time at the beach, first time riding in the car for 9 hours or more, first Mother's Day, first time riding in a bike "kiddie cart" and her first time on a playground swing. I'd say that's a pretty great month for a baby! Here are some photos of the fun:

Emmy: Eight Months Old

Our sweet Emmy is eight months old and on her way to nine months! Crazy!

Emmy is petite, although I won't know her exact weight and length until her 9 month check-up. She's the happiest little baby and is content most of the time to just hang out. As long as you're in the room, she's good.

She still isn't crawling yet, but she does rotate around on her belly really well. I'm thinking crawling isn't too far in her future. (And until then, I'm enjoying only having one child that can run wild.)

During her eighth month she had her first Easter, her first weekend away from Mommy and Daddy, her first fall-on-the-face boo-boo and her two colds in a row.

Here are some extra photos from her month:
