Has anyone noticed the accent pillows YHL used in their blue guest room? Look familiar? Hmmm... Seriously, please get out of my head.

At least the curtains I ordered from West Elm aren't a blue circle pattern. Now if they would just get here already.

If God gives you lemons, make lemonade...

If God gives you random leftover home decor items make art? (Eh, it kinda works...although I'm sure he didn't want me to buy the random leftover crap to begin with.) 

Anyway, here's what I was up to on Sunday:


Project 1: 

• Woven Placemat
• IKEA silver frame (been waiting to be put to use)
• small IKEA mirror (1 of 4)
• Left over Guest Room wall paint
• Paper from IKEA frame

All of this eventually became a new mirror for our guest room.

  

  

Project 2:

• Old Target Artwork (was originally in our apartment bathroom)
• Left over white trim paint
• Pottery Barn Keys
• Gorilla Glue

All that equals some fabulous new art for our living room that I love.

Yay for simple free artwork completed in a hour! Woop, Woop.

Surprise Shower Celebration

One of our small group couples are moving away from Nashville and back to Atlanta for a job opportunity. Although we are excited for this growing family's new adventure, we are selfishly wishing they could stay here with us forever. To send them off with lots of love, our small group threw them a surprise baby shower this past Tuesday and it was a big hit!

Ashley and Oliver were not expecting the shower by any means, (especially since they are only 20 weeks along and we planned in only a few days before our group meeting) but we knew it would be the perfect going away party. Here are some pictures of the gathering. 

These are happy tears...we didn't do anything mean, I promise.

Green With Envy

This bathroom makes me green with envy. 

This bathroom is from Sarah's House on HGTV

This is just my green bathroom.

We've added the grey and chocolate tones which have really helped us to tone down the green tile. Although we haven't finished adding all of the decorative accents, it has come leaps and bounds from where we started. 

Yes, I would like to ultimately rip it to the ground and start with a fresh white bathroom like Sarah's up there, but for now it will due.

Do you have a dream bathroom you'd like to recreate someday in your home? (No need to be realistic here.)
