So I must say coming up with your first official blog post is a little daunting.
I've toyed with the idea of creating a blog a time or two, (mainly due to the encouragement of my older sister and avid blogger, Heather) but I've never quite felt motivated to fully dive in. I always ran into that "I don't know what to write about" and "I'm not witty enough" issue that keeps you from moving forward. Well, oddly enough, becoming a first-time home-buyer combined with my deep need to be creative in at least some way, shape, or form has proved to be the perfect blog motivation cocktail.
As the hubbie and I have progressed in the house-hunting/home-buying process, I have of course been looking online for all types of design inspiration for the new place...especially crafty, inexpensive design ideas. (Every girl loves getting a compliment on some gem she found in the super-sale, bargain bin.) Through my online searching, I've come across some genius blogs full of grand ideas, quick fixes and motivational stories for do-it-yourself home updating. All of which, led me to this.
This is my blog. This is my personal design diary that will be filled with the true stories of my journey to the perfectly designed house. (Never going to happen, but a girl can dream, right?) This is where I can post the little projects that I work on so diligently and never show anyone. I mean, what's the point of creating an awesome yarn wreath if no one ever sees it? (Don't worry, I'll be posting that one later.)
My hope is that the three of you that actually read this blog will give me feedback, suggestions and comments to challenge my creativity and to help me develop my first home.
Until next time...
Bet you never thought id be the first to comment. But hey, us 25th's gotta stick together.

ReplyDeleteDiscipline is the key to blogging. Just ask McGruban who seems to lack it.
ReplyDeleteCute header! How did you make it?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kelly! I made it in Word and just found the bird clip art. The bird was a little fuzzy so Brent, husband and self-proclaimed blog editor, fixed it up for me in Photoshop. Then just plugged it in as a jpeg. :)
