Better Late Than Never

Most people will tell you, "well, it's better late than never," but when you have family coming to stay in your guest room "better late than never" doesn't really apply to the delivery of your window coverings. Late stinks.

My parents came into town this past weekend and their arrival was the deadline for getting some window treatments up in the guest room. The hubbs and I decided on some curtains from West Elm to add a bit of pattern into the guest room. Unfortunately, the item we wanted was sold out online and in our local store so I had to call a handful of stores to finally track down the four window panels that I needed. I was pumped...until the tracking information told me it was being delivered on Monday. (Mom and Dad were leaving on Sunday. So not helpful.)

So although Mom and Dad just got some classy sheets over the windows while they were here, our West Elm curtains are now up, in place and looking good (if I do say so myself) in the guest room.

I guess we need another set of visitors now.

Until next time...

  2. All my windows have blinds on them. You can never be to sure when a creeper is going to be peeking in.

  3. All of my windows have foil on them so I can sleep any time I want to. You know sometimes never is better than late.... if you catch my drift.

  5. We're working on the blinds, Norm. One thing at a time. Also, are you concerned about a creeper peeking in because that's what you would do? Just saying.

  6. Robin Kee, are you calling me a creeper? Is this how you treat all your blog followers/readers? Lesson from a true blogger, never harass your fans.

  7. Wow, Norm. I feel like I'm getting in trouble when you use my first and last name.

  9. Digging the curtains. Now I wish I would have snicked a peak in the box before departing for M-town. Photos help though... "ewwww aahhhh" is what I would have said in person too. ;)
